Titan POWER!

Well, I'm on a creative upswing tonight, so I have to throw my thoughts onto the page about the 2006 Tennessee Titans.

Okay, so they are 6-7. 6 Wins, 7 Losses. Normally no one in their right mind would be trumpeting something so, uh... below .500 like this but it's got quite a buzz growing amongst fans and experts of the NFL alike. What is so important about this under .500 team? Well, I'll tell you.

Vince Young.

and lets give credit where credit is due: Travis Henry

These two guys have really turned the Titans losing season around. With the rookie Vince Young stepping up and assuming the mantle of command for the Tennessee Titans, they have won 4 games in a row. The Titans haven't won 4 games in a row since 2003. I'm eagerly awaiting the Power Rankings to come out because the Titans have been climbing steadily, including passing teams with .500 records even when they are not. There's definately a feeling of something magical about the Titans as they rise from the AFC graveyard. It isn't going to be enough to lift the Titans into the playoffs. Even if they win every game for the rest of the season then they will finish a remarkable and totally mind-blowing 9-7, that's only good enough in the NFC. I'll be overawed if they take down the Jags this Sunday and move to 7-7.

24 revisited

Now that I've finally watched the first six episodes of the greatest show to ever hit broadcast televison's fifth season, I'm sitting here biting on my fingernails awaiting my next fix. Tomorrow night at this time I will have completed watching Hour 7 to Hour 12 and will be halfway through the season. It's high-time I catch up with the rest of humanity on this brilliant show so I can actually have light conversation about the most recent episodes with my friends instead of having to jam my fingers in my ears whenever "24" comes up and screaming, "I can't hear you! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" like a five year old.


With that said, I'm posting more Youtube links to my favorite videos of this awesome show. None of the videos contain episodes from Season 5, just in case you too have been living under a rock during the entire last season and haven't shelled out the $40 for the DVD's yet. Loser.
